 The View Restaurant at NKC Tonbridge College 

The View Restaurant is a student-run training restaurant located on the third floor of the NKC Tonbridge College. It offers visitors high-quality lunches, themed dining events and café-style refreshments while giving Hospitality and Catering students valuable experience in a professional restaurant environment.

Every meal is prepared and served by students under the guidance of experienced hospitality professionals, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed for careers in the catering and hospitality industry.

As you dine, you can enjoy panoramic views across the Kent countryside in a modern, welcoming setting.

Where is The View restaurant? 

The View Restaurant is located on the third floor of the main building at NKC Tonbridge College. 

When you arrive, please report to Reception, where a member of the team will greet you and escort you to the restaurant by lift.

When is the restaurant open? 

Opening Times (Term time only)

  • Thursday and Fridays
  • View Bistro from 10:30am for hot beverages, cakes and snacks
  • View Restaurant 12–2:30pm for lunch service (last orders 1:30pm)
  • Monthly Thursday evening service 6pm till 9:30 (last orders 7:30pm)

Prices

  • Lunch 2 courses - £15.50
  • Lunch 3 courses - £16.75
  • Themed Dinners and Christmas – From £20.50

Does The View Restaurant offer evening dining?  

Yes. The View Restaurant hosts monthly themed dinner evenings on selected Thursdays. 

Opening Hours: 

6pm-9.30pm 

Last food orders 7.30pm

Our themed evenings are created by our students and may include: 

  • Fine dining experiences 
  • International cuisine 
  • Seasonal celebrations 
  • Christmas menus 
  • special themed events

Is there parking?

Car parking is free and when you arrive announce yourself at reception and we will come and meet you and escort you, in the lift, to the restaurant where you will enjoy a warm welcome, fantastic service and an experience that you won’t forget. 

Do I need to book at table? 

Booking is advised for the View Restaurant to avoid disappointment though we do leave some room on the day and by calling us we can get you a table. As for the View Bistro, if you are out and about or need a comfortable place to meet friends or work you are more than welcome.
